Description:
It’s been almost six months since Super Bowl XLVI was held in Indianapolis on Feb. 5, 2012, and progress continues on the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Near Eastside Legacy Project. Officials will dedicate the stadium’s new field turf (the former practice turf of Super Bowl XLVI Champions, the New York Giants), there will be a youth football clinic and an inter-league youth football jamboree on the new turf.
The field turf, which was made possible by The Indianapolis Colts, the NFL Youth Football Fund and LISC, was used as the practice field at the University of Indianapolis by the 2012 NFC Champion New York Giants, prior to their Super Bowl win on Feb. 5, 2012. The turf was moved to and installed by Browning-Davis Joint Venture LLC in coordination with Shiel Sexton in the Arsenal Technical Football Stadium this summer, and in time for football practice.
In the event of rain, the Field Dedication Ceremony will be held inside the nearby Chase Near Eastside Legacy Center (see map on page 4).
Online bookings are not available for this event.
