onating does not necessarily mean giving money. There are many other ways that John H. Boner Community Center’s clients and Near Eastside residents can benefit from your generosity. Following is a list of items, organized by department, the Center or our clients need:
Center Wide Wishes
- Speed bumps for parking lot
- Donated printing services
- Fireproof, locking file cabinets
- Landscaping in spring around the Boner Center
- New maintenance van
Senior Services
- Outdoor gas grill
- Umbrellas for outdoor seating area
- 47” television for common area
Children and Youth
- New/Gently Used children’s clothing and undergarments (ages 0-12)
- Girls and Boys Bicycles (appropriate for ages 5-12)
- Girls and Boys Bicycle Helmets (appropriate for ages 5-12)
- Family Night Incentive Prizes (movie tickets, gift baskets, movies, museum tickets, sports game tickets, etc.)
- Educational supplies for afterschool programs (please contact department directly before making a bulk donation of academic support materials)
- Art supplies (paint brushes, paints, canvases, etc)
- Sporting Equipment (basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, pinnies, etc)
- Gardening and Cooking Supplies (gloves, bowls, utensils, crock pots, shovels, etc)
