Senior services are available five days a week and provide socialization and wellness activities to enable older adults to remain independent, healthy, and connected to others.
Adult Day Service
John Boner Neighborhood Centers’ (JBNC) Adult Day Services is the destination for caregivers seeking a caring, stimulating, structured and safe environment to send their loved ones Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Center staff partner with caregivers to serve the needs of adults, 18 years or older, dealing with a variety of conditions and challenges.
Programming is designed to provide social and basic health services to adults who need supervised care during the day. Participants are given a wide range of stimulating activities, physical exercise and social interactions which also provides time for caregivers to receive much needed respite from the daily physical demands and stress of being a caregiver. A full-time registered nurse is on staff to provide for the medical needs, medication oversight, daily health monitoring and monthly health assessments of our participants.
JBNC offers a variety of payment options, including, a private pay sliding fee scale, Medicaid Waiver, Veteran’s Administration, CHOICE and scholarship funding.
Transportation within the Center’s catchment area is available.
The Center provides individuals, 60 years and older, a renewed sense of independence. With a full schedule of activities and the ability to socialize with peers, John Boner Neighborhood Centers (JBNC) provides a home away from home for older adults. Individuals may become lonely after the passing of a spouse, less frequent visits from family, or may have physical limitations that prevent them from leaving their home. From Bingo to outings, to a computer lab specialized for older adults, individuals remain active which in increases their mental and physical well-being. In addition, JBNC also provides regular health screenings which not only encourages early detection of health issues, but also promotes a healthy lifestyle. Transportation is provided for individuals enrolled in the program.
