The hardest week is behind us!
Team Legacy completed 10 miles today! It was a long afternoon to say the least- but we enjoyed the weather and worked hard. This was our last long run before the mini marathon! Next week we will complete 6 miles. Those kids were working hard to get the hardest week yet behind them! Thank you to The Runners Forum for setting up a water stop for us and cheering us on! We also want to thank WishTV for coming out and covering the team. Look for that coverage on Saturday, May 7th! When we have more details we will be sure to update!

- The seniors came out to walk 2 miles
- Hearing the laughter of the girls….I know they don’t realize I’m listening to them, but I am and just knowing they are having a good time, makes this whole experience worth it.
- Freshman, Jimmi who is our only male on the team finished the complete 10 miles without complaining once!
- When sophomore Tyla completed the 10 miles with the rest of the team… she busted inside the building and out of exhaustion burst into tears. The tears turned into a smile within minutes.
When this project is over as of May 7th – the idea is for these kids to walk away from the experience realizing how important a healthy lifestyle is to one’s overall well-being. And… maybe the best part of exercising is that it can be and should be fun. We are trying to make that a reality for this crew!
